Brew Recipe

This dark roast offers good body for a rich cup. Try espresso-like brewes and pair with your favorite milk! We like the Aeropress for a strong cup at home.

RATIO : 1:18
BREWER : Aeropress
GRIND : Medium-fine
WATER TEMP : 210 F

1: Grind the coffee once the water is heated up. We like to invert the cylinder so the filter is on the top(added last) so plunger is at the bottom, holding the cylinder up. Add coffee grounds.

2. Wet the grounds to let them bloom with about 50g of water. This allows the initial release of CO2. Bloom for about 30-40 seconds.

3. Add the rest of the water and let brew about 1 minute.

4. Secure filter and flipping over to set atop your desired cup. Press the plunger to extract the water through the filter into your cup. Add your steamed milk of choice! Feel free to play around with added flavoring as well, this coffee can hold its own - enjoy!

Roast level: Medium-dark

Tasting notes: Caramel, passion fruit, maple syrup

Single Origin: Democratic Republic of Congo, South Kivu Province

This unique bean from Eastern Congo delights with a bold flavor matched with a rich sweetness. We love it at a medium-dark roast as its complexity really shines, with richness like caramel and a soft but strong sweetness like passion fruit. We love this coffee brewed stronger, matching perfectly with our favorite creamer and a splash of simple syrup. It shines especially well in a moka pot or espresso.
